Sell your good as new merchandise at PLUM & earn some extra cash for recycling your fashions! We want to help you make the most money from your clothing, shoes & accessories! You can help us do that by following these guidelines:

condition of merchandise

All items must be clean/freshly laundered on disposable hangers, in season and either new or mint condition. We prefer items less than two years old. Please inspect your items very carefully beforehand. When selecting items for consignment, ask yourself if they are in the condition in which YOU would like to buy them. Please don’t take our pickiness personally ~ we are very selective based on demand & what’s currently on hand in our inventory. We do not accept damaged items with stains, tears, piling, missing buttons or broken zippers. We do not consign lingerie, pajamas, swimwear, suites, maternity, children's or bridal attire. Any items that are found damaged after initial inspection will be sold at a discount or donated to charity at our discretion without further notice.

how to consign

We offer two options to suit your needs ~
by appointment: We accept consignment during normal store hours, appointments appreciated. Simply schedule online and bring up to 20 items. We will inspect & select your items while you shop and return any items we feel will not sell in our store. Your first consignment should be done by appointment, so we can review our policies & explain how we operate.
drop + go: We will take as many items that you’d like us to consider anytime during business hours – no appointment necessary! This is a great approach if you have consigned with us before, know how it works and don’t want to wait. Simply fill out the drop + go consignment form ahead of time & bring with your consignment. During the drop + go intake process we will inspect & select anything we are able to consign. We’ll add these items to your account & e-mail you the contract expiration dates of all items placed into inventory. PLEASE NOTE: drop + go items that we are unable to take will be donated outright and a tax receipt will be available upon request for your donations.

consignment period

PLUM consigns items for a maximum of 60 days. Unsold items can be picked up within 48 hours of contract expiration; thereafter, they become property of PLUM. It is the Consignor’s responsibility to know when your consignment contract expires and to locate/pick-up any unsold items from the sales floor within 2 days after contract expiration.

buy outright option

We occasionally buy items outright for a quick and easy transaction, which is great if you just want to be done with it all! You make less than with consigning, however some people prefer the immediate gratification & no risk of whether or not your items will sell. We are only interested in buying high-end accessories and designer clothing.

payment methods

Consignors can elect to receive 40% of the selling price via check or PLUM store credit. Funds accumulate in your account as items sell and remain in consignor’s account until you apply them toward a purchase or cash out. Store credit is available immediately upon the sale of your merchandise. And consignors always receive a 10% bonus toward their purchase when using store credit to shop (making it a 50% split)! Checks are cut upon request with a $20 minimum & processed the last day of the month (not automatically generated) & can be picked up at PLUM the following week.
